Many Assisted Living
Facilities have Dementia approval and are qualified to care for Alzheimer’s/
Dementia residents. Many also have Hospice Waivers and are approved to care
for hospice residents. A limited number of facilities accept Supplemental
Social Security (SSI), as long as the resident is alert and requires minimal
assistance. Very few facilities accept SSI and the resident must be alert
requiring minimal assistance.
